Snooki ear

This is what her ear looks like now. Yesterday just the very very tips of her ears were flaky, now whatever it is runs down the entire length of the inside and it’s wet when you touch it, like it’s secreting something. Anyone have any ideas?

This is Snooki…. well, this is Snooki’s butt. She has been acting strange the last day or so. Walking around erratically, shaking her head every 15 seconds like she’s got a fly buzzing in her ears and laying places around the house that she’s never even sniffed before, let alone gone into. I almost had a heart attack this morning when I couldn’t find her… until I saw her legs sticking out from under my mother’s bed all Wicked Witch of the West style. Minus the ruby slippers.

I can’t figure out what’s wrong with her and it’s bothering me. I don’t have the money to take her to the vet right now, but if it gets worse I’ll have to sell my soul for treatment!

Aww, thats awful. About 2 months ago my other love, Roxy, ran into a clear glass door. The whole thing was hilarious and at the time it seemed so minor, no big deal. We saw a bump on her head, but we figured it’d go away in a day or so, just a regular boo boo. Well, come to find out, two days later she started having seizures and her legs became paralyzed. She had injured her spine when she hit the door and it caused a concussion and slight paralysis. She was in the hospital for almost 3 days. I thought I might have to put her down but the medication worked and the last day she started to function again with no more seizures. It was so scary. My dogs are my babies. (my babies are my babies, too, lol, but it’s like I have 4 kids instead of 2!) It ended up costing around $750, thank God for mommy & her great credit. I honestly don’t know what I’ll do this time… 😦

It sounds like your dog has an ear infection. Ear infections can cause the dog to shake its head to “dislodge” the discomfort they are experiencing in their ear canal. Also, just like people, and ear infection may or may not cause issues with the animal’s equalibrium! Hope this helps!
